Hurricane Ike

On September 13, 2008  Hurricane Ike came through Galveston and made a mess.  There were boats on the streets and about 4 feet of water across the island.  My school had to be fixed, but my house was ok because it is built on stilts.  When there is a hurricane, we get out of town by driving across the bridge into Houston.  You can read more about Hurricane Ike at this website.  Hurricane Ike
